How to save those toes!

Tips for Ballet Dancers to Save Their Toes

  • Tape up toes before putting on toe pads with cushioned adhesive tape (from any convenience store)
  • Second Skin: is used for burns but dancers can use at as a cushion for blisters and also relieves any open skin because it is made mostly of water
  • toe spacers to help from bunions forming and to keep weight evenly distributed
  • toe caps for the big toe helps to prevent the big toe from bruising
  • Epsom salt: put some Epsom salt in water and soak your feet to help relieve the stress you put your feet through
  • make sure that your pointe shoes aren't too big to prevent from having bruised toe nails
  • Band-aids!!!
Pain is part of being a ballet dancer but you shouldn't push your own body's limits.
